Fermée en mars 1983, Dallas Dhu fut rachetée en 1986 par Historic Scotland qui, en 1988, rouvrit ses portes en tant que musée, exactement quatre-vingt-dix ans après sa création.La majorité des embouteillages de la distillerie sont le fait de négociants : Cadenhead, Douglas Laing, Gordon & MacPhail, Scotch Malt Whisky Society, etc.Elle apparait en nom propre au sein de deux gammes : The Rare Malts Selection mais aussi la série proposée par Historic Scotland, composée de six versions différentes qui peuvent-être considérées comme des versions officielles.
