Uitvlugt

Construite à la fin du XVIIIe siècle, Uitvlugt se situe sur la rive ouest du fleuve Demerara, près de la ville du même nom construite par les colons néeralandais en 1752. Nationalisée en 1979 comme toutes les distilleries du pays, elle fait partie de Demerara Distillers Ltd. jusqu'à sa fermeture en 1999. On y distille dans une colonne Savalle mais Uitvlugt a aussi abrité l'alambic Coffey et le single pot still en bois Versailles après la fermeture d'Enmore en 1994 ainsi qu'un double pot still, en bois lui aussi, qui se retrouvera à Port Mourant. Suite à la fermeture de la distillerie, tout le matériel de distillation a déménagé à Diamond, dernière distillerie du pays en activité.
