Cameronbridge

Fondée en 1824 par John Haig, la distillerie de Cameronbridge, aujourd’’hui propriété du géant Diageo, est l’’une des plus grandes distilleries de grain au monde. Depuis toujours tournée vers l’’avenir, la distillerie sera l’’une des premières à s’’équiper des Patent Stills de Robert Stein (qui se trouve être le cousin du fondateur), et de Coffey Stills. Elle est également à l’’origine de la DCL (ancêtre de Diageo) lorsqu’’elle rejoint huit autres distilleries de grain qui occupent alors un quasi monopole de la production de grain en Ecosse. C’’est aussi ici qu’’est produit le premier single grain écossais, qui porte fièrement le nom de Cameron Brig.
