La distillerie Warenghem est fondée en 1900 à Lannion par Léon Warenghem. Elle produit alors l'Elix d'Armorique, une liqueur de plantes. A partir de 1919, Henri Warenghem succède à son père et élargie la gamme à d'autres liqueurs. La distillerie est reprise en 1981 par Gilles Leizour qui oriente sa production vers des produits régionaux comme le chouchen. C'est aussi grâce à lui que le premier whisky français (un blend) est distillé en 1983 et mis sur le marché en 1987 sous le nom de WB (Whisky Breton). En 1993, il construit une distillerie dédié au whisky sur le modèle écossais. Le premier single malt de la maison sort en 1998 sous le nom d'Armorik.
