The Dalmore, an iconic Scottish distillery, has donated an exceptional lot steeped in rich history. In 1263, the King of Scotland gave the head of the Mackenzie clan a 12-point Royal Stag, the distillery’’s emblem since 1867.
This 43 year old Highland single malt was sculpted by ex-bourbon American white oak casks and finished in small quantities of hand-selected bourbon casks. Reflecting the bourbon’’s unique influence, it reveals a profile characterized by fruity notes, The Dalmore’’s trademark style. On the nose, intoxicating aromas of mandarin, spices, ginger and lemon cake are released. The palate interlaces the richness of Madagascar vanilla pods with raisins, caramelized apple and notes of Ogen melon. The finish lingers on flavours of sweet apricot, ground almond, liquorice, pineapple cake, brioche and Manuka honey.
This rare lot embodies 180 years of excellence and is a unique opportunity for whisky enthusiasts to acquire a gem of the Scottish Highlands.

The distillery Dalmore

Scotland, Northern Highlands. Distillery operational. Owner: Whyte & Mackay

It was with quite a bang that Dalmore joined the ranks of collectible whiskies, when the group's master blender Richard Paterson presented the Constellation range in 2014. This interstellar symphony of 43 bottlings (1964 - 1992) was the culmination of several decades spent in the depths of warehouses sculpting a distillate with a complex and versatile character in the ex-sherry casks that have become the trademark of the Dalmore Single Malt. Selected from the Gonzeles Byass bodega, these Oloroso, Mathusalem (The Dalmore 32 Year Old 1974 Cask #504, 52%) and Amoroso (The Dalmore 1981 Amoroso Sherry Finesse) barrels offer such aromatic density and range that the profile of The Dalmore has become indistinguishable from the sherries produced at the bodega which, along with Richard Paterson, has co-designed the Dalmore style.
