Cuvée presentation

A single cask (#12470) Port Dundas distilled in 1978, aged in a hogshead and bottled in 2018. Douglas Laing was founded in 1948 by Fred Douglas Laing first as a blending house, but also as an independent bottler. This aspect would eventually become more important as the years went on. When Fred Douglas Laing passed in 1982, his two sons Fred and Stewart took over the business. Stewart quit in 2013 to found Hunter Laing. Today, Douglas Laing is run by Fred Laing and his daughter Cara. A limited edition of 168 bottles.

The distillery Port Dundas

Built in Glasgow in 1811, the Port Dundas grain distillery was, in its prime, the largest distillery in Scotland. Particularly innovative for its time, it was also one of the founders of the conglomerate Distillers Company Limited, a predecessor to Diageo. Despite the various improvements made throughout its life, the distillery closed in 2011.
