Domain: Kinclaith

The Scottish distillery, Kinclaith, is renowned across the globe for creating unique, fragranced and delicious whiskies. It is unique in that its spirits are made using water from Loch Katrine, a majestic lake covering more than 1,200 hectares. Making the spirits requires the company to follow a meticulous production process that demands passion and rigour. The barley is firstly moistened and then dried before being ground to form a fine white flour. Adding water and yeast to the powder allows the fermentation process to begin, transforming the sugars into alcohol. The blend is then distilled using a still which collects the transparent, pure alcohol, already very aromatic and with a high alcohol content. Finally, the brandies are aged in wooden casks for several years, with the aim of rounding out their gourmet aromas while developing their charming amber colour.
