Planteray 25 Year Old 2000 Trinidad (56.40%)
This cuvée has been selected from the only distillery that is still active in Trinidad and Tobago– Trinidad Distillers Limited, founded in 1824. Made from two-day fermented molasses, this version was distilled in a column still and aged initially for 16 years on site in a bourbon cask before continuing its maturation for nine years in a cognac cask in a continental climate. From start to finish, its aromatic palate evolves from fruity tones to delicate notes of rose and crisp berries.

Planteray 15 Year Old 2010 Haiti (40.50%)
Selected from the Jeanty distillery that is located near to the town of Grand-Goâve, in the west of Haiti, this version was produced using sugarcane juice which was fermented for five days. It was then aged for five years onsite in bourbon casks, before continuing its maturation journey in a cognac cask for ten years in a continental climate. With an outstanding and notable complexity and depth, its aromatic and flavour palate is bursting with life and freshness. Its texture is unusually delicate and is undeniably one of the highlights of the tasting.

Planteray Grand Arôme 20 Year Old 2005 (57.50%)
For this new cuvée, Planteray set up camp in Reunion, more precisely at the Bois-Rouge site in Saint-André, where particularly richly aromatic rums–high in esters–are distilled.
Produced from a process of long fermentation, this version was aged for ten years in bourbon casks in a tropical climate, before maturing for a further ten years in a continental climate in a Maison Ferrand cognac cask.
Full of energy, insatiability and brimming with personality, its aromatic and flavour palates blend brilliantly with empyreumatic, fruity and chocolatey notes. With a dramatic delay, intense aromas of hydrocarbon and currants eventually emanate from the empty glass and offer a vivid testimony to the tasting.
