In 2003, the Bertrand distillery, located in the small town of Uberach, started producing a single malt from Alsace. Known already for its traditional brandies, the distillery was the first to experiment with ageing in banyuls barrels which, being particularly rich and flavoursome, are perfectly suited to the distillate from the distillery's small Holstein still.
Single cask (#125-2) from the Uberach distillery, which favors wine casks for maturation, particularly Banyuls casks. Limited edition of 294 bottles.
