Before building a distillery, Stéphane Bogaert, Vincent Bogaert and Hervé Descamps opened the St Germain brasserie in 2003, producing the Page 24 beer. After having acquired a sound knowledge of and skill for brewing and fermentation, their first whiskey was distilled in 2017. Production tends to be kept local, with malted barley coming from three maltings in the Hauts de France region. The distillery mainly uses bourbon, sherry and port casks.
